Young drivers are 30x more likely to be in car accidents than anyone else. No one knows this better than insurance companies. We worked with Australia’s largest insurance company to overhaul the way Australians learn to drive by developing an award-winning app that coaches young driver to become safer and smarter. The app was officially adopted by the Australian government after launch and became the new driving standard in the country.

USING DATA AND A.I. TO CREATE SAFER DRIVERS

Anyone with the SmartPlates app is able to track exactly when, where and how they well they're driving — like a FitBit for drivers. Their driving data is instantly analyzed and turned into customized advice that pinpoints exactly what skills need sharpening e.g. wet weather driving. Our app created a whole generation of safer drivers with in-depth skills across every driving condition, not just the easy ones.

FROM INSURANCE COMPANY TO GUARDIAN

We fundamentally changed our client's company and shifted their mission from insuring car accidents to helping stop accidents from happening at all. The driving data collected created an endless stream of loyal customers who are now given personalized insurance policies tailored around them — not the risky young driver cliche.
